At Decorex last week I attended a lecture by Lisa Pilley, Commercial Colour Consultant for ICI paints titled "Colour Trends In The Real World". Read on for more information and inspiration......
So, firstly, what's in and what's out?
In
Mustard tones of yellow. Yellow influence on all colours. Urban. Think yellow tones - greys with mustards and teal. Robust deeps. Green greys.
Earth tones, botanical greens, mustard tones, warm tones, robust deeps, green greys.
Colours from Dulux paints - have a look at their website
Out
Synthetic bright colours, very light and very dark combinations, red/blue bases of berries and lilacs, icy greys.
Come on my colours workshops to explore colour combinations and more.
Very interesting... I have noticed a trend recently towards very yellowy creams and shades of green from various mirrors we have made for customers of ours.Whereas last year it was far more bright whites and creams. It is amazing how colours come and go .
